On Friday 20 June the official launch and christening of our 2 St Ayles Skiffs was held at the Boatshed.
The skiffs were named Breaksea and Eclipse by Paul Terry Deputy Mayor.
Over 200 people were in attendance to celebrate this grand occassion.
The evenings’ MC was Clive Walker and he helmed the evening with a steady hand.
Norm McQuade had on display his magnificent model wooden boat collection which was admired by all who attended.
The skiffs have been built within a year of the official build launch back on June 22 2024 which is a magnificent achievement by all those volunteers who gave their precious time to the build.
